JobFlare 4.0 is a major upgrade of our app experience, aiming to further disrupt the job search market to favor you, the job seeker. You’re going to want to check out all these new features, so be sure to update your app to the latest version!

What’s Been Added to JobFlare 4.0?
It’s good to know where you stand, so we’ve added a quick assessment during onboarding so you’re qualified to apply to jobs as soon as you get into the app. But you won’t need to take this assessment if you’ve already gotten an overall score. It’s just for the newbies.
We’ve added 5 levels to each of our games. Leveling up is how you’ll rack up stars. The more levels you pass, the more stars you’ll earn. Each level is more challenging than the one before. Do you have what it takes to beat all of them?
We’ve added a predictive Ability Score, which uses your game play to determine your aptitude level and show it off. It’s scored out of 100 points – the higher your Ability Score, the more impressive you are to companies. The Ability Score is similar to the old Overall Score, but we’ve improved its correlation with predictive aptitude tests. It’s our most predictive measurement, putting your cognitive aptitude on display. Your Ability Score will better represent your full potential the more you play.
Stars are here to stay – but we’ve made them more than just another way to demonstrate an Overall Score. Your Achievement Score uses stars to chart your progress through JobFlare’s games and their levels. It represents both your resilience and smarts – after all, you can’t reach 5 stars without being both determined and brilliant.
Introducing your Player Card – it combines all the data from the old performance tab into one clean package. The Player Card updates with your progress, so you can see your improvements in real time. More importantly, your Player Card is what hiring managers see when you apply through JobFlare (along with any other info you add to your application, of course!).
What you see is what they get.
What’s Going Away?
We’ve replaced the Overall Score metric with two different pieces, the Ability Score and the Achievement Score, neither of which will drop on you as you make progress in JobFlare.
The games you know and love now follow a simple pass/fail model. Your goal is to fill the progress bar as much as you can in-game. Right answers will push you closer to success, but wrong ones will drag you back. The net score needed to pass a level varies from level to level and from game to game.
