As a salesperson, you bridge the gap between the needs of the potential customer and the products or services your employer can provide. Your role is to help new possible clients understand that what you’re selling will have a positive impact on their lives. For customers, you’re the human component that improves the quality of their experience. For your employer, you drive the acquisition and retention of a loyal customer base. Even the best of products will gather dust without salespeople to sell them.

Working in sales also helps to nurture transferrable skills that can be used in any role you step into down the line in your career. Even the most basic sales job can open doors to amazing opportunities: sales management, pharmaceutical sales, technical sales, or business development. Sales jobs can let you live in any city or even let you travel the world! It’s up to you.
